Direct Deposit Now Available For Unemployment Benefits For Marylanders

ANNAPOLIS (WJZ) — Those receiving unemployment in Maryland can now sign up for direct deposit.

This, after the Department of Labor reached a new deal with Wells Fargo. Until Friday, payments were distributed on Bank of America debit cards.

Those eligible can choose an option by logging into the "BEACON 2.0" portal or mobile app. Paper checks are available as well.
