Dan Shonka On Prospects For The Ravens In The 2016 NFL Draft

Dan Shonka is the General Manager and National Scout for Ourlads.com.

Dan joined Ed and Steve to talk about prospects to keep an eye on in case the Ravens are picking in the top 10 of the draft.

Steve asked Dan if there are any players in the draft that stand out this year as guys that could be franchise or potential Hall of Fame players. Dan admitted that it is difficult to project that far into prospects careers, "until you get in the national football league, it is hard to judge whether guys will be franchise type of players. There are a few guys who look like they could be great contributors out of the gate like defensive end Joey Bosa, and offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley."

Ed asked Dan about his thoughts on defensive end prospects Joey Bosa and Robert Nkemdiche. Dan is very high on both players saying, "Joey Bosa is an outstanding player, more for a 4-3 scheme than a 3-4 scheme. He's a pass rusher not just a guy that will take up blockers for linebacker. Robert Nkemdiche is a super explosive football player with a lot of talent. He can play anywhere on the defensive front. He's ultra competitive and talented."

Dan went on to discuss Florida State corner back Jalen Ramsey, Ozzie Newsome's recent draft history, and whether there is going to be a resurgence of running backs in the NFL.
