D.C. Rapper Arrested For Bogus Bills At Hanover Casino

HANOVER, Md. (WJZ) -- A Washington, D.C. rapper faces a misdemeanor charge after allegedly trying to play $450 in counterfeit bills at a Hanover casino's craps table over the weekend.

Martrel Reeves, 25, of Bowie, who goes by the moniker "Fat Trel," is charged with one count of possession of forged currency, according to online court records.

Anne Arundel County Police were called to the Maryland Live casino at some point Sunday evening, where security told police Reeves had tried to pass off $450 in counterfeit bills.

Reeves, meanwhile, told investigators he had gotten the cash from an ATM at a D.C. 7-Eleven store and was not aware the bills were bogus.

Reeves was subsequently arrested and booked into the Anne Arundel County Jail.
