D.C. Police Officer Found Dead In Apartment
WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia police say one of their officers has been found dead inside an apartment in southeast Washington.
Police say Johnny Jones, 56, was found Saturday afternoon at an apartment in the 2600-block of Martin Luther King Avenue SE. He was found after he did not show up for work.
Police say there were no signs of trauma, foul play or any obvious unusual circumstances in the officer's death. Investigators are awaiting the results of a medical examination to determine the cause of death.
