D.C. Man Gets 13-Plus Years In 5 Bank Robberies In Va., Md.

GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A District of Columbia man who prosecutors say robbed five banks in Virginia and Maryland has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison.
Dallas Dunmore was sentenced Thursday in federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland.

Dunmore pleaded guilty to bank robbery in June. In exchange, prosecutors dropped other charges. The maximum sentence Dunmore faced under the agreement was 20 years.

Prosecutors say the 48-year-old and two other men robbed or attempted to rob multiple banks in Maryland and Virginia in June 2013. Prosecutors say the proceeds from the five robberies Dunmore participated in were just over $5,000.

The two other men charged in the case also have pleaded guilty to bank robbery. One was sentenced to six years in prison and the other is set for sentencing in July.
