D.C. Government Agencies Opening On Time As Snow Predicted

WASHINGTON (AP) -- District of Columbia government offices will open on time despite a snowstorm set to move in Wednesday morning.

A winter weather advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Washington region and beyond, with accumulations of up to 4 inches forecast for some parts.

The snow was expected to develop sometime Wednesday morning and continue through the day.

Meanwhile a number of school districts in Virginia closed ahead of the storm, including Loudoun, Frederick, Clarke and Winchester counties. D.C. Public Schools was set to remain open, while Anne Arundel County decided to release students two hours early
