Cruz Makes Maryland Campaign Stop In Downtown Frederick

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is making a campaign stop in Frederick.

Cruz' campaign website says the U.S. senator from Texas will hold a rally Thursday morning at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. Police are warning that the rally will cause some downtown traffic disruptions.

Lt. Clark Pennington tells The Frederick-News Post that Citizens Way, a block-long alley behind the theater, will be closed from 10 a.m. until noon.

Cruz' appearance coincides with the last day of early voting in Maryland.

GOP candidate Donald Trump spoke Wednesday in the Eastern Shore town of Berlin.

Republican John Kasich campaigned in Maryland last week.
