Crockett Gillmore Calls Ravens' Tight Ends 'Best Group' In NFL
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Crockett Gillmore believes the Ravens' tight end group is "the best group in the NFL."
Is he a little biased? Perhaps, but Gilmore told the Baltimore Sun, "this is the best group in the NFL."
He continued, "I'm not afraid to say it. It's hands down, and there's guys that unfortunately won't be here with the numbers -- it's just you can't keep that many guys."
The Ravens have had their fair share of memorable tight ends; Shannon Sharpe, Todd Heap and Pitta (in his prime). ESPN Staff Writer Jamison Hensley believes, "the Ravens have a shot at being the best collective tight end group in team history and one of the best in the NFL this season."
However, the league has long lauded Patriots' tight ends Gronkowski and Bennett as the best. They've produced the most receiving yards at that position since 2013. Perhaps the Ravens can make their mark this season.
Gillmore is being joined on the field by tight ends Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle, Benjamin Watson, and the returning Dennis Pitta.
