Couple Steals $1,100 Bottle Of Cognac From Annapolis Liquor Store

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Is this any way to treat a bottle of 25-year-old single-malt scotch whisky?

Police are looking for a man stole several expensive bottles of liquor by shoving most of them down his pants while his female companion distracted the store's staff.

Jerry Donahoe, owner of Mills Fine Wine & Spirits in Annapolis, says besides the $445 bottle of Bunnahabhain 25, the man put a $225 bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label in his pants, left and came back.

Donahoe tells The Capital the man then put a $220 bottle of Grand Patron in his pants.

The thief also took a $1,100 bottle of Hennessy Paradis cognac. The cognac was in a box too big to shove down his pants, Donahoe says, but he still managed to steal it.
