Charges Pending Against Man After Chemical Spray Incident At Towson Town Cntr.

TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) --Baltimore County Police say charges are pending against a man following a chemical spray incident at Towson Town Center on Tuesday night.

Around 8:00 p.m. police responded to the third floor of the Towson Town Center after investigators say a tear gas-like, airborne substance was released in the mall.

At least six people were affect by a chemical spay, including a pregnant woman who was transferred to Johns Hopkins as a precaution measure.

"Several other people refused medical transport, including the man who told police that the suspect deliberately sprayed him with the chemical," officials said.

The victim tells police that the suspect--who is a friend--confronted him on the third floor of the mall and quickly pulled out a small canister and sprayed him with the chemical.

Assault charges are pending against the suspect, whose will be identified once he is formally charged.
