Baltimore woman has car stolen with cats inside

BALTIMORE -- A Baltimore woman is offering a $500 reward to anyone who finds her cats that were inside her car when it was stolen from the Canton neighborhood on Tuesday, Nov. 12.

Shavonne Beachum's car was stolen from S Chester Street around 8:20 p.m. after she said she stepped away while the engine was running.

On Thursday, Nov. 14, Baltimore police said Beachum's car was found on Cardiff Avenue, almost three miles from where it was stolen. However, her cats - Squid and Clover - were not inside.

"Squid is my emotional support animal," Beachum said. "I need that cat."

Beachum told WJZ that both her cats are microchipped.
