Some Bottled Water Sold At Target, Walmart, Whole Foods May Contain High Levels Of Arsenic
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Check your fridge.
Certain brands of bottled water sold at Target, Walmart and Whole Foods may have high levels of arsenic.
Tests conducted by a California nonprofit found that Penafiel and Starkey water contained higher arsenic levels than tap water.
The findings are similar to a consumer reports study that found both brands contained nearly double the federal limit.
The chemical can cause reproductive harm and cancer.
The FDA has not recalled either brand.
