Blaze At 'Pirate Adventures' In Annapolis Injures Firefighter

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- About 60 firefighters responded to a fire on the 300 block of 3rd Street Monday morning for a blaze that affected the Pirate Adventures on the Chesapeake.

According to the business's Facebook page, it just ended its season last week.

The Annapolis Fire Department responded around 6:20 a.m. Crews found heavy fire and smoke coming through roof and additional resources were requested to assist. Baltimore Gas and Electric was also requested to shut off power to the building.

The fire was contained to the building of origin, but a second business has smoke damage.

Anne Arundel County and The United States Naval Academy fire departments assisted in bringing the blaze under control.

One firefighter was transported for treatment after sustaining a minor injury, but there were no other reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
