The African American Festival is an annual event geared toward honoring celebration of African American life, music, and culture. It includes unforgettable musical performances, fun for the whole family and even empowerment discussion groups. The musical entertainment line up includes: Common, Joe Maye, Ruff Endz, Mary Mary, Joe, Angie Stone, Estelle, Goapele, Anthony Brown and Group Therapy and Ro James. Known as "the largest cultural festival on the East Coast", this festival has welcomed over 350,000 attendees yearly. This summer open air concert event is FREE for all.

Baltimore Commemorate Independence Day celebration includes live music and celebratory fireworks in the heart of downtown Baltimore whereas, all shows are free and family friendly. The event generally showcases music by U.S. Navy Band Cruisers and other performers starting at 7 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. Look forward to Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake kicking off the multicolored fireworks at 9:30 p.m., which can be viewed from several locations downtown and in the surrounding neighborhoods.

The Annapolis Independence Day Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will travel down to the City Dock. Be sure to visit Susan Campbell Park afterwards at 8:00 p.m. for an exceptional performance by the Naval Academy's Concert Band. The concert will be followed by the fireworks display at 9:15 p.m. The Navy's Oldest and Finest always performs Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture."

The Towson Fourth of July Parade honors the brave men and women who serve our country. All municipal parking garages are free for the Towson Fourth of July Parade. The parade will go on rain or shine and is basically a live instrumental musical concert for you and your family to enjoy.

Catonsville's Independence Day Celebration is a Catonsville tradition. The event will feature lots of activities, including games, races and musical concerts. The fun will begin at 10 a.m. and the 69th Annual Grand Parade on Frederick Road begins at 3 p.m. Following the parade, one of the top fireworks displays will begin at 9:15 p.m. at Catonsville High School. Admission is free, and food vendors will offer fun foods including BBQ, hot dogs, snowballs and drinks. Additionally, music by the School of Rock will be sponsored by Dimitri's International Restaurant this year.
