Bank Robbery Suspected Apprehended By Baltimore County Police After Pursuit
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A man is in custody after allegedly robbing a Towson bank and leading police on a pursuit Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to the PNC bank in the 6300 block of York Road for a reported armed bank robbery.
Investigators identified and attempted to stop the suspect when he took off in his vehicle, a black SUV.
The man led police to Owings Mills when his car drifted off the road and crashed.
Police were able to arrest the suspect at just before 2:30 p.m. in the area of Reisterstown Road and McDonogh Road. They say they recovered a gun and and money from the vehicle.
His identity has not yet been released.
