Baltimore Woman Arrested In Girlfriend's Killing

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Baltimore police have arrested a 25-year-old woman in her girlfriend's stabbing death.

Police say they responded to a call about an unconscious person in a Baltimore apartment around 5 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found 24-year-old Tekeya Johnson in a bedroom, bleeding from a stab wound to her stomach.

Charging documents say her girlfriend, 25-year-old Tamala Harris, also was in the bedroom and appeared to have self-inflicted, non-life-threatening cuts on her forearms and stomach.

Johnson died at a hospital.

Police said Wednesday that they arrested Harris on charges of second-degree murder, assault and other counts. She's being held in the Baltimore City Detention Center.

No attorney is listed for her in court records.

Police say neighbors reported hearing the women cursing and yelling at each other before the stabbing.
