Baltimore Ravens dominate Buffalo Bills, 35-10, behind Derrick Henry's 199 yards, 2 TDs

Purple Connection: Recapping the Ravens first win of the season

BALTIMORE -- Derrick Henry scored two touchdowns and Lamar Jackson passed for two scores and ran for another as the Baltimore Ravens dominated the Buffalo Bills 35-10 on Sunday Night Football at M&T Bank Stadium.

Henry racked up 199 rushing yards after gaining 151 yards on the ground last week. Jackson completed 13-of-18 passes for 156 yards and rushed for 54 yards.

Buffalo's Ty Johnson scored on a 3-yard run early in the third quarter, closing the Bills' deficit to 21-10. Buffalo got the ball back but Kyle Van Noy stripped Josh Allen and Kyle Hamilton recovered the fumble.

The Ravens coasted the rest of the way.

Lamar Jackson extended Baltimore's lead to 28-10 with a 9-yard touchdown run. With 11:23 remaining, Patrick Ricard fell on a fumble in the end zone to bump the Ravens' lead to 35-10.

Henry scored two first-half touchdowns as the Ravens took a 21-3 advantage at halftime.

Henry put the Ravens on the board with an 87-yard touchdown run on his first carry just four minutes into the game. It was the longest touchdown run in Ravens history.

Tyler Bass kicked a 50-yard field goal to cut Baltimore's lead to 7-3.

Henry caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jackson on the first play of the second quarter. Then, Justice Hill hauled in a 19-yard touchdown pass.

Henry tormented the Bills in prime time for the second time in his career, averaging 8.3 yards on his 24 carries three years after running for 143 yards and three TDs against them while with Tennessee.

The Ravens (2-2) travel to AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals next Sunday.

Bills streaks end

The Bills' NFL-record streak of 43 consecutive regular-season games without a loss by six or more points came to an end. Their last defeat this lopsided was 41-15 to Indianapolis on Nov. 21, 2021 — also the last time they allowed as many yards rushing.

Buffalo's run of eight consecutive regular-season wins, the longest active in the league, also ended.

On an individual basis, the Allen-to-Shakir connection that resulted in 30 consecutive targets caught ended with pass breakup late in the second half. It was the most in a row by a receiver since at least 1991.

Injuries

Bills: S Taylor Rapp was concussed trying to tackle Henry early in the second quarter. ... Shakir (right ankle) and C Connor McGovern (head) left briefly in the first half before returning.

Ravens: LG Andrew Vorhees was out because of an ankle injury. Patrick Mekari moved over to fill in, with rookie Roger Rosengarten making his first career start at right tackle.
