Baltimore Museum of Art closed over Black Friday bomb threat

BALTIMORE -- The Baltimore Museum of Art closed Friday following a bomb threat, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The BMA said in a social media post that police were investigating the issue and that all ticket holders for the Making Her Mark: A History of Women Artists in Europe, 1400-1800 exhibit would be contacted.

The bomb threat was sent via email and received around 10:35 a.m., police said.

This security concern was considered unfounded and the call for service was coded out by officers, according to authorities.
