Baltimore Man Gets 15 Years In 3 Armed Robberies

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore man has been sentenced to about 15 years in prison in the armed robberies of three Baltimore businesses that netted more than $15,000.

Prosecutors say 24-year-old Lydell Pittman was sentenced Tuesday after he reached a t with prosecutors.

Prosecutors say Pittman and another man pointed a gun at a clerk's face and demanded money at a cell phone store on Oct. 27, 2012. The same day, prosecutors say they robbed an employee at a dry cleaning store after pointing a gun at that person. Both robberies netted about $1,200.

About two weeks after that, prosecutors say Pittman and the other man robbed a check-cashing store of $14,000 after pointing a gun at an employee and telling him to get down or die.
