Baltimore Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Warehouse Fire

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- Firefighters in Baltimore continue to battle a warehouse on Wednesday afternoon.

It happened in the 700 block of Greenmount Ave.

Sky Eye Chopper 13 was over the scene as smoke billowed into the sky.

Fire officials say the fire has now reached 3-alarms.

"Units were able to make entry into the building but due to extreme heat and smoke conditions units were pulled out for firefighter safety," said Samuel Johnson, a spokesperson for the Baltimore City Fire Department.

The warehouse is believed to have large amount of combustibles inside.

"Our Special Operations Command is on scene and are making attempts to breach the wall so that we can continue to make attempts to extinguish the fire," said Johnson.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Johnson says the police crime lab is on the scene.
