Baltimore Fire Crews on Scene of 2 Alarm Fire in Fells Point

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore Fire crews are on the scene of a fire in Fells Point Sunday night.

It happened at the 1700 block of Eastern Ave at Broadway.

When crews arrived at 8:00 p.m. they found heavy fire and smoke coming from the the second and third floors at the rear of Bridal Fashions by Niko.

Units were able to get into the building but due to unsafe fire conditions the building was evacuated. Crews continued to fight the fire from outside the building.

"It is still a very active scene," said Sam Johnson, Baltimore City Fire.

No one was inside the building at the time of fire. No individuals or firefighters have been reported injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
