Baltimore County Police Charge 2 Men In Catonsville Commercial Robberies

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ)--Baltimore County Police have arrested and charged two men for two commercial robberies in Catonsville.

The first robbery occurred May 24 just before 2 p.m. at a Sprint store in the 5700-block of Baltimore National Pike. One suspect stayed at the front of the store while the other suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money. During the incident, the suspect with the gun struck an employee in the head with the butt of the gun. That employee only sustained a minor injury as a result of the incident. Both suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second robbery occurred last Wednesday around 7 a.m. at a Royal Farms in the 500-block of Edmondson Avenue. Police say while one suspect went behind the counter and took several boxes of Newport cigarettes, the other demanded money from the register. The cashier believed that they were armed. The suspects fled the scene with the cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money.

Michael James Toliver, 38,  and Marcs Antonio Gray, 40, were charged with both robberies and are currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police are investigating similar incidents in Towson and Pikesville.
