Army Experts Advising Kids On Science Fair Project Patents

HUNT VALLEY, Md. (AP) -- Today's junior high school science fair projects just might become tomorrow's big business ideas.

Technology innovation experts from the U.S. Army are holding a workshop Wednesday in Hunt Valley to tell kids how to bring their inventions to market.

It's part of the Army's eCybermission competition for science, technology, engineering and mathematics education.

Organizers say they'll take kids through the process of taking an invention to market. The topics include targeting a market, preparing a sales pitch and working through the patenting and licensing process.
