Anthony Witrado Previews The World Series

Anthony Witrado, MLB writer for the Bleacher Report, joins The Scott Garceau Show with Terry Ford to discuss the World Series and baseball going forward. The Kansas City Royals and San Francisco Giants will be facing off in the 2014 World Series.  It's hard to give an edge since both teams fought so hard to get to the World Series, but Witrado says, "the  Royals having  8 straight wins, everyone  is talking that these 5 days off may hurt them, it won't ."  If anything this will give the Royals a chance to rest and regroup.
The Orioles have a good bullpen and a tough time against the Royals.  Moving on to play the Giants and asked how he would compare the bullpens Witrado says, "I think if you watched the Royals pitch in any games, they have the best bullpen in baseball.  The Giants are having their guys go 7 and 8 innings, they just don't want to go to their bullpen.  Royals are only going 6."  The Royals definitely showed they are a team to be reckoned with.
Although Baltimore fans are bummed the ALCS didn't go the way they wanted, "this is a team whose window is going to be open for a while.  With the way their division is looking they are going to be good for a while and I like the Orioles for the next handful of seasons," stated Witrado.  He doesn't believe the Royals will be much beyond this year.  Nelson Cruz is one to watch, in hopes he will stick around.  "I speculate that it is going to take 4 years [contract] cause other teams are going to be going for Cruz."
