SCHOOL CLOSURES: Maryland schools closed, others delayed Wednesday in wake of storms

BALTIMORE -- Multiple Maryland school districts are either closed or delayed Wednesday in the wake of strong storms that brought damaging winds and flooding Tuesday.

The decision was a result of flooding and consequent road closures preventing bus access to students and buildings throughout the county.  

Closed: 

  • Anne Arundel County Public Schools (asynchronous)   
  • Harford County Public Schools
  • Reisterstown and Chadwick elementary schools in Baltimore County (due to power outages)

Delays: 

  • Baltimore City Schools and (two hour delay)
  • Baltimore County Schools (two hour delay)

There will be no half-day or morning-only classes.

Check here to see if your school is delayed.

Weather conditions were windy, rainy and caused flooding throughout Maryland on Tuesday. Flooding is expected to continue into Wednesday.
