Annapolis Police On Alert For Counterfeit Cash
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Police in Annapolis say eight local businesses have received counterfeit money since the beginning of October.
The Capital of Annapolis reports people have passed both counterfeit $50 and $20 bills at businesses including restaurants and convenience stores.
Annapolis Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Amy Miguez says the most recent incident occurred Wednesday at the Starbucks on Dock Street.
Police are asking businesses and individuals to call 410-268-4141 if they believe that someone is attempting to use counterfeit cash.
