Annapolis Home Destroyed In Fire

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Firefighters in Annapolis worked overnight to put out a two-alarm fire in the Oyster Harbor Community.

It broke out around 1:30 Monday morning in the 1300 block of Harbor Road. Once crews got there one home was already engulfed in flames.

The fire spread to two other homes, which have minor damage.

It took nearly 100 firefighters from three different departments to get the fire under control.

Due to the lack of public water in the area, tankers and a fire boat were used to establish a continuous flow of water to extinguish the fire.

Red Cross has been contacted to assist the two adult occupants with temporary housing. One firefighter has been transported to be evaluated for minor injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and no estimated dollar loss has been established.
