Alligator Searching For Doorbell At South Carolina Home
MONCKS CORNER, SC (WJZ)-- A family in South Carolina had a very unusual visitor come knocking on their door: an alligator!
The incident was all spotted by the family's neighbor, Danielle Barkley, who posted video on Facebook of the gator crawling up on the door in Moncks Corner.
Barkley tells the Post and Courier that they've had similar sightings before.
"Last year one was at my neighbor's house two doors down, just hanging out in front of their front porch. But this is the first time we saw one climb up a door and try to ring the doorbell," she says.
Barkley tells the Post and Courier that as far as she knows the gator was never caught and that her neighbor only knew about the "knocking gator" after Barkley sent the video.
"Wonder if it managed to ring the doorbell," Barkley said in the video post.
