'60 Minutes' Sports Lead Correspondent Armen Keteyian On The Use Of Drugs In Horse Racing
Armen Keteyian is an American television journalist and author. He is currently the lead correspondent for "60 Minutes Sports" on Showtime and a CBS News correspondent based in New York.
Armen joined Ed and Steve to talk about drug use in horse racing, and questions still surrounding the Steve McNair case.
Armen started by talking about his 60 minutes piece coming up on drugging horses. Armen went on to talk about looking at what the industry is trying to do to clean up use of legal and illegal drugs. Track owners are also playing a big role in trying to clean up the sport because they are fed up with the over use of legal drugs.
One of the problems in horse racing according to Armen is the fact that there are about 38 different jurisdictions for horse racing. When you go to different states there are different regulations and legalities of certain drugs.
Armen also talked about his new piece coming out about whether or not the Steve McNair investigation was botched. "The Crime scene never made sense" said Armen and he also said he has members of the McNair family joining him in this crusade to try to find the truth about that night when Steve McNair was murdered.
