3 Displaced, Pet Dies In Elkridge Blaze
ELKRIDGE (WJZ) -- Three adults have been displaced after their Elkridge home caught on fire Friday just after noon.

Howard and Anne Arundel county firefighters had the blaze under control around 1 p.m.
According to a Howard County fire spokesman, firefighters encountered heavy fire at the rear of the house and quickly extinguished the visible flames, then opened up walls and ceilings to extinguish any fire that remained. The fire was out by 1 p.m.

The home was extensively damaged and may be declared uninhabitable, according to HCDFRS spokesman P. Marc Fisher.
Three adults were displaced and are being assisted by The American Red Cross. No people were injured, but a cat did die in the blaze.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire and assess damage.
