2 Killed After Multiple Cars Collide In Anne Arundel County
PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- A deadly car crash on Halloween night. Two people are killed after multiple cars collide in Anne Arundel County.
Tracey Leong explains what police say happened.
The accident happened on Solley Road near Chestnut Springs Lane. Investigators say alcohol and speed played a major role in the crash.
Two drivers are dead following a three car collision in Glen Burnie.
"It was just a very tragic event. We have a young kid killed, another woman killed," said Lt. Ryan Frashure, Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Police say the driver of a white Nissan Maxima, 47-year-old Donna Thayer-Fitzgerald, caused the fatal accident when she swerved into oncoming traffic on Solley Road, hitting another white Nissan Maxima head on before flipping over.
Both the drivers, Thayer-Fitzgerald and 18-year-old Joshua Pack, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third car, a black Ford Focus, was also involved. The driver and passengers suffered minor injuries. That car was swiped by the first Nissan Maxima before slamming into the second Nissan.
Following the deadly crash, police have issued a warning for drivers.
"Your actions when you're behind the wheel don't only affect you, but they affect your family, friends and other people on the road. So we just really want people to be very careful, especially with the holiday season coming up," said Lt. Frashure.
The passengers in both Nissans were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
