2 Arrested, 2 Sought After Teen Stabbed 40 Times In Park

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) — A teenage boy and young woman have been arrested in connection with the slaying of an 18-year-old man who was stabbed more than 40 times in a darkened Montgomery County park.

Montgomery County Police Capt. Darren Francke says 19-year-old Vanesa Alvarado used the promise of sex to lure Cristian Antonio Villagran-Morales into Gaithersburg's Malcolm King Park on June 16. Police say at least three gang members then took part in either holding down the victim or stabbing him.

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and accused of being one of the attackers. Police are still looking for 27-year-old Oscar Ernesto Delgado-Perez and 20-year-old Jose Coreas Ventura.

Police say the victim, who was not believed to be in a gang, had recently moved from New Jersey and was doing landscaping work.
