Man arrested for Mother's Day murder of 18-year-old in East Baltimore
BALTIMORE -- A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged in a deadly Mother's Day shooting in East Baltimore.
Montrez Braxton-Cherry has been charged with first-degree murder.
Jamal Martin, 18, was shot on May 14 in the 2300 block of Homewood Avenue. He was found shot at nearby Bartlett Avenue and was taken to the hospital where he died, according to police.
According to documents obtained by WJZ, Braxton-Cherry exchanged gunfire. Only Martin was struck.
