Family Pleads For Information In 15-Year-Old's Fatal Shooting
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The family of a 15-year-old boy shot and killed in southwest Baltimore Monday is pleading for help in solving his case.
Just after 8 a.m., officers were called to Ellicott Drive for a report of a person not breathing.
When officers arrived, they found Carlos Liverpool, Jr., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died minutes later less than a quarter of a mile from his home.
"Whoever's looking, you took a jewel from us," said Shiretta Henderson, Liverpool's mother.
Liverpool had just graduated from middle school and was heading off to high school in the fall.
His cousin Natasha Henderson said now he won't be able to live his dreams.
"All he said was that he wanted to live his dreams, that means playing sports, basketball, playing music and going to college," she said.
Henderson is urging anyone who knows who killed her son to come forward.
"If you know something, please come forward, please. Don't let this be a cold case. Please don't let it be a cold case. That's all I'm asking, please, don't let it be a cold case. I don't want to walk around with hatred in my heart," she said.
Detectives handed out flyers in the area hoping to find witnesses.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (410) 396-2100 or call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
