14-Year-Old Boy To Be Tried As Adult In 16-Year-Old Girl's Killing
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A 14-year-old boy will be tried as an adult for the brutal murder of a Baltimore teen.
According to WJZ media partner The Baltimore Sun, Raeshawn Rivers is charged with murder, rape, arson and gang offenses in the death of 16-year-old Arnesha Bowers.
Investigators found her on June 7 in her northwest Baltimore rowhome.
Bowers was a junior at City College High School.
The suspects allegedly stole $40, an iPad and a laptop -- then mutilated Bowers body to hide DNA evidence -- before setting the home on fire.
Rivers and two other suspects -- 24-year-old Adonay Dixon and 21-year-old John Childs -- are scheduled to stand trial in January.
