The staggering cost of fertility treatments

About 13 in 100 American couples have trouble getting pregnant. Infertility treatments like IVF cost more than $10,000 per cycle and freezing your eggs on average is between $30,000 and $40,000. Refinery 29 senior vice president Julie Alvin joins "CBS This Morning" to discuss the anonymous infertility diary they released which chronicles one woman’s difficult journey. After an initial consultation nearly two years ago, she had three rounds of intra-uterine insemination and is in the middle of her first round of IVF. She has already spent more than $26,000.

Money Diaries: Demystifying personal finance

A recently published report paints an alarming picture of the state of many Americans' personal finances. The Federal Reserve says four in 10 could not come up with $400 to cover an unexpected expense and two in 10 cannot pay their monthly bills in full. Lindsey Stanberry is the author of the new book, "Refinery29 Money Diaries: Everything You've Ever Wanted To Know About Your Finances... And Everyone Else's." The book is based on Refinery29’s popular "Money Diaries" series, where women publicly track all of their expenses for one week for everyone to see and pick apart. Stanberry joins “CBS This Morning” to discuss why women still feel awkward talking about money, the importance of savings and tips for changing the way you spend.

Refinery29 represents "real" women

As part of our My Generation series with Refinery29, we explore the often overlooked 67 percent of women in America who are considered plus size. Despite being a majority of the population, women sizes 14 and up only make up a reported one to two percent of what we see in the media. Refinery29 co-founder and executive creative director Piera Gelardi and plus-size model Denise Bidot join "CBS This Morning" to discuss their efforts to change the imbalance.
