Tokyo's rockabilly scene
In Tokyo's Yoyogi park, Mueller-Rode met the group of leather-clad, pompadour wearing rock n' roll aficionados. For 30 years, he learned, they have gathered in the park to play music, dance and socialize over their shared love of 1950's American culture.
Mueller-Rode is now preparing to publish a photo book of the Japanese rockabilly scene. Learn more about the project on his indigogo page.
