The newly redecorated Oval Office of the White House is pictured on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, in Washington. While the First Family was vacationing in Martha's Vineyard, workers installed new wallpaper, a new rug, new
sofas, lamps and a coffee table.
A new wheat cream and blue colored rug, bearing the presidential seal and quotes from former presidents and Martin Luther King Jr., is at the heart of the makeover. Quote excerpts on the rug include Abraham Lincoln's "Government of the people, by the people and for the people."
