John Slattery

John Slattery stars as the chain-smoking womanizer Roger Sterling, a partner in the Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce advertising agency, on the AMC drama "Mad Men." A veteran of TV, film and the stage, Slattery's recent film credits include in "Flags of Our Fathers," "Charlie Wilson's War" and "Iron Man 2."

Slattery stuck to politics during his stint on "Desperate Housewives" in 2007, playing mayoral candidate Victor Lang. Over the years, he has appeared such shows as "Judging Amy," "Ed" and "Will and Grace."

Victor Lang won the election and the affections of Gabrielle Solis, played by Eva Longoria. Their marriage was short-lived, and Slattery's character is killed. During a fight with Gabrielle's ex, a fence post impales him through the chest.
