Stone showed Lavoy how easy braids can be done. During his segment on "The Early Show," she styled a long single braid in her hair.
Braids for Any Hair Length
CBS
If your hair is super long your can simply braid a pony tail and wrap it around your head. Or if its mid-length you can do a cornrow around the parameter of your head. But if you have shorter hair, you don't have to miss out: just use a hair piece braided with ribbon.
Securing Your Style

Classic Chignon
CBS
Lavoy says this classic look will never go out of style. However, to make it more "fashion" than "dance recital," you need to create a modern texture.
Quick and Easy Braids
CBS
Lavoy started the look by finger combing the model's hair with My Elnett satin spray. This is key so that the hair doesn't look too smooth and "done". He collected the hair in a high ponytail and simply braided it.
Fastening the Look
CBS
The next step is to secure the braid with a holder.
Finishing Your Modernized Braid
CBS
To finish off the classic chignon style, separate the braid and just wrap and secure it. You should then re-spray the style.
Fishing for Chic Braids
CBS
The fishtail is super easy to do, and great for really long hair. Its actually a two-section braid versus the traditional three-section braid. You just take a small piece from underneath each section and cross it over alternating sides. To make this a little more fashion forward, we are going to rough it up a bit and add an interesting texture. You do that by simply pulling the braid apart after the ends are secure and spray.
