Four years ago, Larry Hall purchased an abandoned Atlas F missile silo in central Kansas. Today he is turning it into a doomsday survival condominium complex.
The missile silo is being converted into a 14-story underground condominium complex. Seven floors are devoted to residential living.
Hall gave CBS' Steve Hartman a tour of the condominium project.
Workers begin the framing process on one of the condo units. Hall hopes to complete the project by summer 2012.
Full floors are being sold for $2 million. Half-units will cost you $1 million.
Hall says the condo complex will have walls ranging from 2.5 to 9 feet thick, an indoor pool and military-grade security.
Hall says owners don't have to wait until Armageddon to use their condo - they can use it year-round as a permanent residence or vacation home.
