Video shows woman being kicked off flight for yelling at Trump supporter
BALTIMORE — A video posted to Facebook shows police removing a woman from an Alaska Airlines plane after she apparently yelled at a man for his support of President Donald Trump.
The person who recorded the video, identified on Facebook as Scott Koteskey, wrote in an accompanying post that after he and the woman boarded the flight from Baltimore to Seattle on Saturday evening she began yelling at him for supporting Trump.
“You pretend you have the moral high ground but you put that man’s finger on the nuclear button,” the woman can be seen saying on video.
“That man doesn’t believe in climate change,” she said. “Do you believe in gravity? Did you know gravity is just a theory?”
Airline staffers eventually asked the woman to leave, and she refused, saying she was flying with her husband to his home, because his mother had died.
“There’s no way I’m getting off this plane,” she said. “My husband lost his mother. Have some respect.”
A second video shows police removing the woman from the plane.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police Lt. Kevin Ayd confirmed to CBS News on Monday that the woman and her husband were escorted off the plane at around 5:30 p.m. They were not charged, he said.
A representative of Alaska Airlines said they were given a refund instead of being rescheduled on a later flight. The representative said in the future they will be allowed to book other Alaska Airlines trips.
