Video catches pit bull's brutal attack of toddler in Bronx
Surveillance video caught a vicious pit bull in the Bronx attacking and injuring a 4-year-old girl, CBS News station WCBS reports.
The girl was walking with a woman on Webster Avenue in the New York City borough Sunday when the dog ran through the intersection and jumped on her.
A group of bystanders quickly ran over to the girl to pull the dog off of her.
"At first the dog tried to bite her in the face, but he grabbed the jacket, he bit her on the leg," said a witness, Eduardo Chandeler. "He was trying to take it our but he was holding her."
The girl was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. He condition was not known as of Tuesday night.
