Bombing probe
CBS News has learned Ahmad Rahami may have cased his targets before allegedly planting bombs in Manhattan. Rahami remains hospitalized after a shootout with New Jersey police. As he lays unconscious, there are concerns other members of his family may also have had jihadist sympathies.
Bad intelligence
A CBS News investigation has discovered that potentially vital military intelligence from the war against ISIS may have been deliberately withheld from President Obama in order to influence policy in Iraq. In one instance, CENTCOM’s director of intelligence stopped a negative assessment of Iraq’s military from reaching Mr. Obama when it should have.
Debate prep
