"The Killing" actor Eric Ladin welcomes a son

It's a boy for "The Killing" actor Eric Ladin.

Ladin and his wife, Katy, welcomed their first child, son Maxfield David, on Friday.

The actor shared the baby news via Twitter on Saturday, along with a photo of the newborn:

The next day, he added, "2 days old, but never too young to start watching football. #Texans."

Ladin, 34, has also appeared on episodes of "Mad Men," "Suits" and "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." His wife is a fashion designer and stylist.

AMC canceled "The Killing" in July, but it has been reported that the show could be revived for a third season.
