"The Bachelor" stars Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff split
It's over for another "Bachelor" couple.
Chris Soules and fiancee Whitney Bischoff have split, just two months after revealing their engagement on the season finale of the dating series.
"Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement," the couple said in a joint statement Thursday. "They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey."
Mike Fleiss, the creator of "The Bachelor," also confirmed the news on Twitter:
Viewers watched in March as Soules, a farmer, popped the question to Bischoff, a fertility nurse from Chicago, in his barn in Arlington, Iowa. After "The Bachelor" ended, Soules joined the cast of "Dancing with the Stars."
The split comes not long after another breakup for the ABC dating franchise -- Andi Dorfman, the most recent "Bachelorette," and fiance Josh Murray announced their split in January.
