Teen boys charged with murdering Mo. couple in cabin
(CBS/AP) SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Two teens have been charged with murdering an elderly couple at a cabin in Missouri.
Anthony Zarron, 17, from Spring, Texas, and 16-year-old Christopher Allen from Nashville, Tenn. allegedly escaped from a juvenile rehabilitation facility in January - the Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch - and fatally beat and stabbed Paul Brian Brooks, 70, and his wife Margaret Brooks, 69, who were on vacation.
Circuit Court Judge Judge Alan Blankenship ruled Tuesday that the teens will be tried as adults. According to The Springfield News-Leader, both boys are charged with two accounts of first-degree-murder, three counts of armed criminal action, one count of felony robbery and one count of felony burglary.
The newspaper reports the killing occurred on Jan. 31, 2013.
