Shopping apps to help you find great deals
Shopping for gifts can be a challenge, especially this time of year, but there are some free mobile apps that could make your life easier.
An app called Stylr is offers deals at popular stores, but also shows what’s trending. It has rotating style profiles, like “Chic trenches” or outfits that Scandal’s Olivia Pope would wear. You can also make yourself a wish list. The app is free at Apple’s App Store.
The website Shop it to Me just launched its mobile app. Just like the website, the app only shows deals for items that are in your size. You pick from a list of favorite designers to watch. Fill in your measurements and get notified when there is a sale on items in your size. The app is free at Apple’s App Store.
Shopkick makes shopping a game -- and rewards users with “kicks” every time they walk into a store. The kicks can be collected to earn deals. You can save your favorite items in a wish list called “books.” The app is free at Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
Retail Me Not is one of the largest coupon websites in the United States. Its app uses geolocation to push deals your phone when you’re in the area of a favorite store. The app is free at Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
And there's no need to search for the mall directory when you have a handy app called Point Inside. It has indoor mall maps to help you find the stores you want to visit and services like bathrooms, ATMs and escalators.
