Randy Moss plans NFL comeback

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Randy Moss wants to resurrect his NFL career.

Moss used a live webchat on his 35th birthday Monday to announce he plans to come out of retirement next season. And Moss' personal assistant, Donnie Jones, says Moss is "ready to rock `n' roll."

Moss retired last August, compiling 14,858 receiving yards and 153 touchdowns in 13 seasons. He last played in 2010, getting traded by the New England Patriots to the Minnesota Vikings before finishing the season with Tennessee. That year he had career lows of 28 catches for 393 yards.

His 23 TD catches in 2007 with the Patriots are a single-season NFL record.

Moss' agent, Joel Segal, says he's discussed the comeback with the former Marshall standout, and Moss "still has his fire" to play football.

CBSSports.com's Will Brinson says that Moss' live webchat was both bizarre and entertaining. At one point, he pulled out a bag filled with all the hair he recently cut off and said it smells like "sauerkraut."
