Prince Harry hoists 5-year-old girl on his shoulders at Invictus Games concert
A 5-year-old girl upset she couldn't see the stage at the Invictus Games' closing ceremony concert got some help from a royal rescuer.
Prince Harry spotted young Isabelle Nixon and hoisted her onto his shoulders before dancing with her as the Foo Fighters played, the Daily Mail reports.
Isabelle's mother, Taryn, shared a photo on Twitter of her encounter with the 30-year-old prince, captioning it, "What an amazing end to an amazing week!"
The mother and daughter were at the Invictus Games -- a competition for wounded veterans spearheaded by Harry -- in support of Isabelle's father, Adam Nixon, who captained Great Britain's wheelchair basketball team at the Games.
A former Gunner in 26 Regiment Royal Artillery, he lost his one of his legs following an IED explosion in Basra in Iraq in March 2004.
Isabelle apparently had no idea her who her dancing partner was until her mother informed her, "You're dancing with Prince Harry!"
"I was completely over the moon," the little girl said, according to the Daily Mail. "I was chuffed to bits."
